The Procedure
The procedure works by emitting a powerful beam of light which passes harmlessly through the skin groups of hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the hair follicles and disables or destroys the root, curtailing new hair growth. This procedure zaps thousands of hair follicles in seconds -- eliminating new hair growth -- and can be used on various parts of the body.

Hair grows in cycles. The laser disables all hair follicles that are in an active growth cycle at the time of treatment.

Since other hairs will enter their growth cycles at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to disable all the active follicles in a given area. Because of this, the number of treatments varies for each client.

Laser treatment is able to cover relatively large areas at high speeds; exact treatment time is determined by the size of the area being treated. A typical appointment will last fewer than 30 minutes. Should you require treatment on larger areas (legs or back), your appointment will take more time. A typical laser hair removal patient will require at least 4-6 treatments for best results. During the treatment, all hair is temporarily disabled, but not necessarily destroyed. A series of treatments further destroy more hair. Most areas do not require 6 treatments to achieve best results.

Before Treatment
This is very important. Avoid sunlight and all other UV exposure for three weeks before and after laser hair removal treatments. And don’t wax for one month prior to treatment or use chemical hair removers. At home on the day of treatment, you should shave the hair in the area you want us to treat.


After Treatment
The treated area may be red and slightly puffy with a goose bump-like appearance. This will fade within twenty-four hours. The area may feel like mild sunburn for a day or so. Cool compresses and Aloe Vera gel can be applied to relieve any discomfort. You may return to normal activity, but be sure to avoid all UV exposure for three weeks after treatment, and use only the after-care products we recommend to ensure trouble-free, complete healing and restoration.
